Startuplab Hardware is both a industry network and a physical lab, bringing knowledge and equipment that empower startups develop and manufacture their products.

Our primary goal is to help startups accelerate development of hardware, IoT and robotics, while creating a strong ecosystem for new production in Norway.

We connect startups with leading industry experts, suppliers and manufacturers to pave the way for more groundbreaking and sustainable hardware companies out of Norway.

Startuplab´s hardware program is funded by Stiftelsen Teknologiformidling. Stiftelsen Teknologiformidling is a Norwegian trust, aimed at supporting small and medium sized businesses for further development of their technology. Read more about them here:

What do we do?

We acknowledge that developing and producing hardware can be very challenging at times. Our mission is to mentor and guide the startups along the way in the jungle of hardware by connecting them to the right people at the right time. We facilitate a broad spectre of activites to help our members on their journey and make sure that they are up to date on new technology:

Startups

StartupLab has been working closely with more than 300 startups since 2012.

Since then we have noticed that more and more startups are working in the hardware and IoT space. In 2018, with the support of Stiftelsen Teknologiformidling we launched the Hardware and IoT program. Its not only for the companies at StartupLab, we're working with companies located all over Norway, both fresh and more established.

How we interact with the companies varies enormously!

In some cases we invest in the startup through our fund(s). Other times we introduce the startups to our SMEs and corporate partners - sometimes resulting in new partnerships. And in all cases we try to assist with the everyday challenges the companies have, e.g. legal, recruiting or fundraising.
